About Carrie

Beginning as a child, I have always had a strong desire to create. I enthusiastically paint from my heart, finding infinite inspiration throughout my travels, my children, my faith, and in my every day surroundings. Painting is where I lose myself and let go of my anxiety, and then it is where I find myself again and regain focus. It is my desire is to make art that is pure and simple with a touch of whimsy, reaching everyone young to old. It makes me happy to paint and I just want my paintings to bring a smile to others too!

In an impressionistic style, I paint a wide variety of subjects using acrylic paint as well as some mixed media. I find interest in simplicity combined with the unexpected, using bright, lively colors and varying textures. I paint from my studio at home in Nashville, Tennessee. As well as being commissioned, my work is shown in numerous art exhibits throughout the southeast.

My biggest passion and newest endeavor is "Painting With Purpose" which is an arts ministry with the mission of connecting people with God and with each other through art as well as exploring ways in which art can bring healing to the soul. I lead workshops for all ages, from kids art camps, to women's retreats, birthday parties, girl's night out, and family painting events. It has been so exciting to see God work through this unique creative experience and I am so honored to be along for the ride!
